Jesus speaks a shocking parable to those who are confident in their own righteousness and look down upon others. God values humility and is drawn to those who earnestly offer themselves to Him. Self-righteousness has no place in the kingdom of God because God himself is humble. Humility lives at the very heart of the gospel.
